A Word of Thanks

Our vision is straightforward… To provide an event where our cultures can intermingle, share, and connect, by building and fostering an attractive climate of togetherness, while still holding our spirit and values, making the Susquehanna Valley a better place for all to live.

That spirit did come to life Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Fiesta de Mayo – Connecting our Cultures.” To see cultures connected, one did not have to walk through the entire event. By watching the children play on the inflatable slide and castle, one would have seen the connection. There was not a group leading or a group following. The kids were playing. They pay attention to what language the other kids spoke, or what color their skin was, or where they came from, or even gender or age. They were inviting each other to go up one more time, and one more time, and… When it came the time to close, they did not complaint, or fuzzed, or argued; they simply started telling each other and their adult guardians, of the wonderful time they had.

That is the reason why we celebrate Fiesta de Mayo!
To connect
